John Thune just on H&C. Good pick to follow the President's news conference.

The difference between Dick Cheney's wealth and Kerry's and Kennedy's wealth is that VP Cheney earned his.

In a nutshell, it's suposed to be "insurance"...not retirement.

I think you are right because it is deducted at source you never miss what you have never had but time has come on both sides of the pond for people to demand a fair shake and ensure that the money they pay to government is being used in their best interest.
I pay into a private pension as well as our state one but even so if I take that sum out of the equation my deductions per month are nearly a quarter of what I earn.

The polls should show no change, or a slight loss in support for W - if anything. And you think that's because people were glued to their television sets watching the President? The media coverage will drive the polls and I'm not sure what the President could have done to have them report something positive.

your profile page is awsome!!!!
I am a big Cheney fan as well.
The pics with the Veep and Dr. Cheney are very cool.

For W to show up in prime time, he should have had a big anouncement... he didnt. No poll mover here.

It's more than a little annoying to scroll through hundreds of posts that TELL ME NOTHING ABOUT WHAT WAS SAID. ...and why, may I ask, are we supposed to be your private news service?

LOL. YES! Mickey Mouse gloves. Too funny. Maybe when Paris upgraded her front side, the doctor told her that her hands should be proportional. ;-)
And to your second question, Cinnamon Girl...NEVER. ;-)

Most likely the truth is that the event falls somewhere in the middle of these extremes. My guess is only political die hards follow this stuff and even watch it. So in the long run not a lot of people will be swayed one way or the other... Just my two cents... The greatest plus is the immediate cutaway to the sweeps shows with no
Pundit shredding or rebuttal.

Bush is now giving kudos to the Central American Free Trade Agreement, CAFTABoo hoo hoo. Cry me another river for those that can't find work outside of putting pegs in holes.

What does your pay roll tax cover is it just for SS or does it include other things?
=============================================================== It is suppose to be just SS. However the government spends it on what ever catches their fancy.
Tax rates here

PS most people will tell you that "the employer pays half of the 15%" but they forget that the payroll tax is part of your "cost of employment"
