Why? Can't understand how anyone could not get hooked - it is clean, it moves fast, well-written, well acted and gives very interesting aspects of how a counter terrorist organization could work.
But, people I have told about it, just seem to ignore the suggestion or they did not like it - don't know.
Anyway we do. We Ti-Vo it and skip through the commercials. That is absolutely the fastest hour of television.

Yeah, you are right.
Every Monday, my husband has to say, gee, doesn't he ever go to lunch, get tired, or have to go to the bathroom - round the clock with no sleep, food.

They sound like democrats - can't stand a show that has Americans actually fighting terrorists.
Who cares if we like a TV show - good grief.

Have never seen any re-runs - but it is absolutely great TV to rent the DVD's. No commercials and you can see 4 weeks in one night - straight through with just enought time to go get popcorn between. 6 DVDS for each season.
You have some good viewing - as you can see the 3 prior seasons.

It's the old extra in the red shirt! It was always a member of the Enterprise wearing a red shirt who got wasted on a landing party. Scotty must have had heavy clout to last as long as he did. ;^)

From the transcript on Rush's site:
NAN: Hi, Rush. Third-time dittos. We were happy to hear that you were on the set of 24. Thats one of our favorite shows. And little crowning Chloe [ ]is our favorite person, so we were wondering if you had a chance to meet her and what she was like in real life.
I'm prettty sure the caller said "frowning". (What the hell would "crowning" be anyways...something Bob Barker used to do at the end of the Miss America pageant?)
For those who say they can't stand Chloe...did you ever consider she is saying lines written by a team of writers and taking direction as to facial expressions from the show's director? Maybe she is a good actress, accurately portraying a character in the way that the writers and director wants it to be portrayed.
I too, stood up and cheered when she went full auto and unloaded on the bad guy. That said, you would think with all the similar type scenarios CTU has seen, when they go to investigate some potentially hazardous scene, that they would ask the local PD to have some cars in the area if they needed help ASAP (and yes I KNOW it's a TV show).
To: eastforker
Yeah, and no problems with the little bars, no mistyping the numbers, no forgetting how to access the phone numbers.
I am in awe.

Anyway, the portrait of a feckle President is complete nonsense. The American people are never going to elect a pacifist their Chief Executive.Really? John Kerry and John Edwards came alarmingly close.

I stopped reading when it looked like Rush was going to reveal the spoilers. Don't worry. Rush didn't discuss anything beyond last Monday's episode.

Exactly! Did you catch the short lived "Kelsey Grammer's Scetch Show" a few weeks ago. It was a terrible show, but I only watched it because the actress that plays Chloe was in the cast. She laughed, smiled, showed emotion--she proved (to me at least) that she's more than just a frowning face on 24.

If you don't like violence FORGET The Shield. I"m not kidding. It is truly the most violent show on TV, and as you know, that's saying alot.

And wasn't Audrey almost dead leass than 12 hours ago when she tried to kill herself with carbon monoxide. Don't you think she'd be a little "light-headed" Her make-up didn't even come off! And one more question, don't you think that Jack would be needing a really long shower by now??????? Oh, and ONE MORE question...where the heck has the Secretary of Defense been??? Forget about the disappearance of the SecDef, isn't his son still in the sensory-depravation tank? After 15 hours, his mind must be jelly by now.

Yea. And don't you think it's strange that the Country is under nuclear threat, and people are dancing in a club? Isn't it also odd that three jeeps are out in the dessert with the nuclear football, and their headlights can't be seen by any aircraft? I don't know that Habib Marwan is one smart cookie. I think he should be in charge of CTU!!!
