Is ATOMIC IRAN a hoax?
bellaonline.com ^ | Gary King

I have been picking up bits and pieces of information about a possible attack on the U.S. via electromagnetic impulses or something like that. And from what I have uncovered and read, it is highly possible and they may actually try it. But what bothers me the most is the SOURCES where this information is coming from.

I was doing some research on this possible nuclear bomb thing from Iran when I started encountering (IN NAME) a book called Atomic Iran. So I attempted (so many times I could not believe it) to obtain a review copy of this book. I found, instead of a book, a lot of static, a lot of hedging, and a lot of refusal to allow the book to be reviewed. So, as far as I am concerned, this book either does not exist or it is a hoax.

I do not believe there is such a book and if there is, why do they refuse to allow someone to review it? If it is for security reasons, then security should be involved in WHO buys the book. So what other reason could there be. Perhaps the information obtained for the book somehow got past homeland security and someone does not want the book to be sold to everyone.

In any case, whatever the reason for not being able to review Atomic Iran, I recommend you do not buy it or read it. If they are afraid to have it reviewed, there must be something wrong with the book. I also recommend caution when you go to any site on the Internet that mentions an attack on the U.S. by Iran.

You know what this reminds me of? This reminds me of the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) bit and the THREAT they posed on ALL OF US! Now we have another WMD thing in another way. Is this one way for someone, somewhere to try to justify that perhaps we should invade IRAN in order to put a stop to it. We are already in one big wartime situation in Iraq, and now we have threats from Iran and also North Korea.

I have no doubts that the possibility of Iran pulling off this nuclear warhead to disable our electricity, etc. actually exists and could come to pass. I also have no doubts that North Korea could try to attack us and if not convinced they could pull it off, would help Iran do it for and with them.

What is needed here is a United Nations to start doing their job and carrying out their primary mission of WORLD PEACE. They have the member nations, and they have the abilities and capabilities. What they do not seem to have is someone who can run that organization with some kind of common sense and who knows what world peace is really about.

Atomic Iran? Maybe......maybe not!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.

"What is needed here is a United Nations to start doing their job and carrying out their primary mission of WORLD PEACE."

Actually, the UN's primary mission is to steal as much money from the U.S. taxpayer as possible for the sole purpose of annihilating America and bringing about a one-world socialist (bordering on communist) government.

Heres a review from Amazon. Did you look up the book there?

I think Farrah yellow journalism about an air blast and an emp attack to be a bit far fetched. Maybe I'm not cynical enough. If they did that, we would nuke them off the map.

Anyway, here is the review:

Review from Amazon.com: Atomic Iran

Book Description
With the reconstruction in Iraq under way and the distraction of the U.S. presidential election behind us, focus will once again turn to a gathering threat—The Islamic Republic of Iran. A charter member of the "axis of evil," this rogue terrorist state and the mullahs who govern it are on a collision course with American and European governments that seek to end its development of nuclear weapons. The influence of Iran cannot be discounted, however, because it has perfected the art of oil price manipulation in order to fund its nuclear endeavors, terrorist activities, and strategic contributions to key U.S. politicians who, in turn, work diligently at normalizing diplomatic and trade relations between the two nations.
In ATOMIC IRAN, Jerome Corsi, co-author of the best-selling UNFIT FOR COMMAND, uncovers the true intentions and practices of the Iranian regime and gives light to the aid and comfort being supplied by some key U.S. politicians. Uncovered is a web of pro-Iranian financiers who make significant campaign contributions to political leaders who affect U.S. trade policy towards Iran and are able to work at normalizing diplomatic relations, thereby legitimizing the rogue republic. This poses an immediate security threat to the United States. It allows the regime to take advantage of relaxations in the Patriot Act to begin importing terrorists under the disguise of diplomatic personnel.

Also revealed is the manipulation of world oil prices by Iran. Its restriction of supply has the dual effect of hindering the growth of world economies and increasing revenue for Iran, which is then used to fund international terrorism and its own deadly pursuits. Dr. Corsi warns that a nuclear Iran would devastate the Middle East through its tyrannical policies and threats and would have a significant impact on the world by using its control of 40 percent of the global oil supply to hold nations hostage with oil prices rising to over $100 and even $200 per barrel.

ATOMIC IRAN is a wake-up call to Americans. It is a call to pay attention to the growing crisis with Iran and to hold U.S. politicians accountable for their relationships with and efforts on behalf of the Iranian regime. By understanding the events that led to Iran's arrival at the verge of nuclear statehood, the intentions of the mullahs, their connection with American politicians, and the severe repercussions to be suffered from allowing the regime to proceed with its plans, readers of ATOMIC IRAN will be equipped to take the debate to their local communities and to the officials they have entrusted with their safety and security.

About the Author
JEROME R. CORSI, PH.D., co-author of the NEW YORK TIMES #1 bestseller, UNFIT FOR COMMAND, received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and is an expert on America's antiwar movement and political violence. He is the author of many articles and books and lives in Connecticut.

Many articles on page 1 of worldnetdaily.com + book availability.

Also, EMP article from Washington Post describes hearing by Senate Judiciary subcommittee:

This is why blogs get their own posting category, and it’s not “News/Activism”.

If you are prepared to believe that (in spite of well-documented proof that Iraq actually used WMDs against Kurds and Iranians) our recent failures to find WMDs in Iraq constitute "proof" that Iraq NEVER HAD such weapons, then, IMHO, your "gullibility index" needs re-calibration.

Of course, a high "gullibility index" would explain how it would be possible for a naif to conclude that difficulty in obtaining a book about, say, "Trolls", is proof, ipse facto, that "Trolls" do NOT exist.

Still, it is amusing to think that a person could claim to be more worried about EMP weapons than about atomic weapons, without realizing that EMPs are the result of atomic explosions...

"our recent failures to find WMDs in Iraq constitute "proof" that Iraq NEVER HAD such weapons"

Sadly, our failure to find WMDs in Iraq will constitute sufficient proof for many idiots that Iran has no WMDs or plans to build them.

by "review copy" do you / they "copy you don't have to buy"?

If everyone with a blog demands a free copy of a book because they want to review it, book companies are going to be screwed.

Call me an extreme optomist, but I believe time will tell that there were WMD in Iraq....it will be written in history....but might be conveniently kept out of student history books.

Well put, Mojo. Is there any doubt that a one-world "socialist" government would eventually devolve into full-blown communist tyranny?
