NorthCountry Gazette ^ | April 25, 2005 | June Maxam

the paper trail clearly establishes that Sixth Judicial Circuit Court judge George W. Greer is not.

The trial also shows that constitutionally, he had no jurisdiction in the Schiavo case nor can he claim judicial immunity in regard to any wrongful death litigation that may be forthcoming.

Efforts are currently underway by several groups pushing for the Florida Legislature to impeach Greer

Thanks for finding this article and posting it as a post.

I agree, it deserves it's own thread.

That's where you live, Fair-Op, and I'm fixin' the boat, so I can get-the-hell outta here.

I agree that Greer is a blood-sucking legal vampire without a conscience - BUT -

I fear that this type of stuff smells awfully similar to the "The Income Tax Amendment was never properly ratified" line of (tinfoil hat) argument.

Chances that this will lead anywhere - ZERO.

Sorry to pop anyone's balloon.

You may well be right, but he should still be susceptable to impeachment or recall.

In CA some years ago, voters recalled a couple of judges, I think the name of one was Rose Bird, because they were making decisions totally ignoring the law. It was put before the voters and they were indeed recalled and kicked out.

I don't know the laws in FL, but I think there should be something similar there too.

I wouldn't want to be in Greer's shoes. A man so reckless with other people's lives will be reckless with his own. He is on deck for this year's Darwin Award for sure.

Greer should be prosecuted, not just impeached, because he overstepped his boundaries by forbidding natural means of giving hydration and nutrition. Natural means are not covered under medical treatments in Florida law.

He wouldn't even let her try to eat by mouth. She could swallow her saliva and very well could have swallowed food and water. Saliva is one of the hardest things for a person who has trouble swallowing to swallow.

I thought this bit was interesting on the page you linked to "In accordance with Fair Use of Copyright: WE FORBID ANY REPRODUCTION in part or in whole of The North Country Gazette." Apparently the people at the North Country Gazette can't read too well because Title 17, Chapter 1, § 107 of the US Code (The Fair Use Doctrine) allows no such provision or exclusion.

"Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors."

Pinellas county, Florida serial murderer uncertified Judgenfuhrer Greer:
"'Not legally qualified for the judicial office since 1992' - Who cares?.
The US Constitution - I ignored it.
Congress's subpoena - I urinated on it.
18 USC Section 1505 - I ignored it.
Title 2 of the US code - I ignored it.
Florida Statute 765.309 which prevents mercy killing and assisted suicide - I ignored it.
Florida Statute 744.3215 which requires that incapacitated people cannot be deprived of food and water - I ignored it.
Florida Statute 765.404, which says that clear and convincing evidence of the ward's intent for medical treatment must be established - I ignored it.
And the stupid gonadless pussies in Congress and Florida are
not going to do anything about it."

But the citizens of Florida LIKE what happened in their state. They LIKE Greer and they LIKE the law that allowed him and allows any other judge to issue execution warrants.

Very afraid what you say is true. These people choose to get their news from the networks and don't even realize they are on hold until Greer can get his hands on them!
For our part, our family will stay out of Florida, and we encourage others to find a better place to vacation.
