I have an extensive trail at FR as to what immigration reform I support.

My beef with Tancredo is that he has split the republican party which empowers the democrats.

Because of this, the reform bill that Congress passes will create a lot of new US citizens from Mexico.

McCain, Snowe, you, and Bush are the types of "Republicans" splitting the party.

And no. I have NEVER seen you mention what types of border/immigration reforms you support. Ever.

"immigration reforms that I support"

Well, just from this thread you should know it is not tancredo and it is not kennedy, so which one is left?

To phrase it another way, which reform bill does BushBot Ben support?

Bush's Guest Worker Amnesty for Illegals. IE; open borders and plenty of incentive for more illegal immigration? The one that allows foriegn nationals access to our Social Security system?

Those reforms? Thanks. But no thanks. I'm already paying enough to support them as illegals.

While I may support Bush-Kyl-Cornyn, I dont think it has anywhere near enough votes.

Most likely you will see the Kennedy-McCain bill enacted.

Tom Tancredo for president.

How do you like the sound of that?

I don't.

"Very odd that Tanc would be active in raising money for a PAC the he has no relation to?
He must really like Pat and Bay."

I'm beginning to understand why you hate Tancredo so much.
You don't like him working to get conservatives elected.
You'd much prefer squishy moderates or liberals.

My preference would be a new party. My preference would be to build an alternative to the Republican-Democratic political trap.

I could not agree with this statement more. I have been enamored of Bush since he took office, and honestly believe that no one else could have pulled us together like he did after 9-11. No one. He will forever have my gratitude for his strength and leadership during those tenuous days.

But the GOP, now in power, essentially, across the board, has not demonstrated the small, limited, federal government that is key to the foundation laid by those revolutionary minded men of 1776. Nor have we seen the politico-doublespeak we claim to hate (when from the liberal left) brought to a halt. In fact, its quite the opposite. Everything we have exclaimed our disgust for, when brought to the table by the left, we've embraced from our leaders.....frothing at the mouth to defend that which we would have fought tooth and nail against from another.

The time for a third party to break the chain of destruction being wrought by both the GOP and the donkeys is coming. Soon.

Guess you like wasting your vote. One issue wonders like Tancredo do not get any traction on the national stage. But if it makes you feel better to vote for a megalomaniac, go right ahead. Tancredo could care less about you, immigration, or anything other than his own ego. His sell out of Tom Delay to the Democrats and the media proves he is only out for himself.

Americans are indeed fed up with illegal immigration. If anyone watched the "Hannity & Colmes" show on Tuesday night, they saw yet more video examples of total lack of border security on this nation's border with Mexico. Our borders are no more secure than they were before 9/11/01.

Apparently, House repubs don't like him either. Even Newt dislikes him.

Cong. Tom Tancredo is absoutley a conservative. Here is a link to Tom Tancredo's page on a web site called OnTheIssues: http://www.ontheissues.org/House/Tom_Tancredo.htm . Cong. Tancredo is rated: 0% by NARAL, 7% by the ACLU, 5% by the League of Conservation Voters, 100% by the Christian Coalition, B+ by the NRA, 20% by the AFL-CIO and 84% by the National Taxpayers Union (indicating a "Taxpayer's Friend" on tax votes). That record is probably as solidly conservative as any other Repbulican thinking of running for president in 2008.

With a moniker like yours you wouldn't be a GWB suck-up would you? Or, as Howie Carr likes to say about devout followers beyond reason, "rump swab".

No offense meant as you meant none I suspect in your post on the stupidity of the author as it was just a reflexive reaction on your part.

Tancredo is nothing but an attention whore. His sellout of Tom Delay should prove that to anyone. Of course there are those who would blindly follow this guy straight off a cliff simply because he tells them what they want to hear.

You could say the same thing about certain FReepers and President Bush.

Correction: House leadership dislikes him, including Delay. That is why Tancredo is at the bottom of the ladder in the House, even tho he has been there longer than quite a few others.

The premise behind re-electing a rep is that he moves up into a position of influence and is able to get things done that benefits his district. He done nothing but back-stab other House members.

Tancredo is only using his position as a springboard to leap onto Buchannan's coat-tails.

Anyone who promotes the importation of third world peasants to suck the wealth out of the hard working people of the country should be sent packing. All of them. It is the backs of the working family man in this country that the dream of Bush and Fox will be financed.

I am sick of having my income confiscated by this government.

Becoming a subject of the United States of America was never a personal dream I had growing up. Rove will chose the next GOP president. Everything else is wasted keystrokes.

How can the 30-50 million 5 dollar an hour laborers find support on the Free Republic? There is no doubt that is game over. Tell me about Tancredo's ego some more.
