send them a response. I had a great email string going for weeks with a guy in Nigeria. I kept telling him that I was sending him the important forms and my bank information but the fax wouldn't work or that my house was struck by lightning. They are really polite for a while then they get nasty.

You too want to hear something really scary? A couple of years ago, the AP reported that an office manager in upstate New York had been arrested for embezzling. She got caught because she lost company funds in the Nigerian scam--TWICE!! She was looking to use her Nigerian score money to cover the money she'd been stealing from the company to cover gambling debts.
