I have no idea what's being said here except "Let's laugh at Arnold."
No, the Governator really does not our state's diversity, because of the way it was created. ILLEGALLY, out of control and at HUGE TAXPAYER EXPENSE.
There is no need to close the borders if: (1) we CONTROL OUR BORDERS by enforcing existing immigration law, (2) get the resident ILLEGALS into the queue for worker visas or whatever similar program and (3) force them to be FINANCIALLY SELF SUFFIECIENT. And if they do not or cannot comply with these criteria, throw them out, with the threat of MAJOR FINANCIAL AND LEGAL consequences if they try to return illegally.
Grow a pair, Governator, and clean up our state, and return it TO REAL CITIZENS AND LEGAL, SELF SUFFICIENT IMMIGRANTS.
I wouldn't make fun of Arnold merely because of his accent. But the fact that he used his lack of command of the English language as an explaination for why his otherwise clear and reasonable statements about our border problem should be "forgiven", that he appologized to the so-called latino leadership made me feel free to give him a shot. The joke, dear critic, is that he has a "political interpreter" that "restates" his comments in a way that caters to the easily offended among us but does not truly represent what he thinks!
I think it is meant to make fun of the way he excused something he may have actually meant to say by falling back on his apparent inability to speak English.
I noted he explained away his comment by saying - “Yesterday was a total screw-up in the words I used. Because instead of closing, I meant securing. I think maybe my English, I need to go back to school and study a little bit.” And perhaps that is the case; or perhaps, after many years in this country, he really can speak perfect English. The latter is more amusing to fathom.
Very funny and right on the money!
The joke is that Aaaahnold had a brief fit of common sense and has since recovered.
