Particularly the understanding of the bible, which you have declared by your atheism to be fiction. You're making a mistake if you believe that acceptance of the Bible is a prerequisite for understanding of the Bible.

You're making a mistake if you believe that acceptance of the Bible is a prerequisite for understanding of the Bible. You're making a mistake if you think that anyone in their right mind who was a believer would care what an atheists "understanding" of the bible was.
The main thing they "understand" is that it's BS, and only the simple minded would believe it.

You're making a mistake if you believe that acceptance of the Bible is a prerequisite for understanding of the Bible.Acceptance is a requirement for a correct understanding. Someone who rejects the Bible will see two passages and say: Look! A contradiction, see I am right!
Someone who accepts the Bible will see the same two passages, and say: That's interesting. Are there other passages or an explanation that will reconcile them?
