"...they're not the sharpest knives in the drawer? Now they want to put it all out there and prove us right every single day?"
This will provide many useful quotations and anecdotes to further illustrate the depravity of the leftist elites, I suspect. Let's all say "BRING IT ON!" The more idiotic remarks get out there from the self-styled cultural elite, the more material there is for the rest of us to criticize them......... should be entertaining!

I love it! I have visions of Ariana doing a sendup of Marlene Dietrich. Thanks for the good belly laugh! The content of your quip is also spot-on. Good job.

Gracias! I don't think of her as sounding anything like Dietrich, though. Arianna's much more of a Gabor clone--without the physical beauty those two had when they were younger.

I keep thinking of that line from Mrs. Threadgood in Fried Green Tomatoes..."Get yourself some hormones, honey!"

She has lined up more than 250 of what she calls "the most creative minds" in the country to write a group blog that will range over topics from politics and entertainment to sports and religion. Hmmmm.... I might have to DUFU it.

Among those signed up to contribute are Walter Cronkite, David Mamet, Nora Ephron, Warren Beatty, James Fallows, Vernon E. Jordan Jr., Maggie Gyllenhaal, Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr., Diane Keaton, Norman Mailer and Mortimer B. Zuckerman. Doesn't everyone want to read what these "has-beens" have to post? /sarc.

The Post will also set another blogging milestone: Ms. Huffington has signed a contract with Tribune Media Services, which syndicates her newspaper column, to syndicate parts of her blog to newspapers and their Web sites. AHEM! Any chance a newspaper syndicate out there would like to SYNDICATE the DUmmie FUnnies? I think folks would find the DUFUs to be a lot FUnnier than anything written up by a bunch of jaded Hollyweird types.

"Newspaper editors across the country are increasingly intrigued by the phenomenon of blogging and are open to finding ways to capitalize on the best of it," said John C. Twohey, the syndicate's vice president for editorial and operations. True. There is a fascination with blogs out there so WHEN am I going to get a BOOK contract for the DUmmie FUnnies Blog which is already considered to be the FUnniest Blog on the Web. (Did I mention that my PING List now has a count of 659?)

OK, whose got the over/under on how many days her "blog" will withstand the withering criticism of truth (care of FReeperdom) before they shut down the "interactive" part "allowing the masses to comment". Shutting down the interactive section won't save them from being DUFUed.

This is going to be DU with celebs... I also bet the comments will be turned off quick. It will already be wacked out, with comments the whole truth would be out. But we can hope . It would be fun to flame a famous Rat once a month..... Don't worry. I am already planning to DUFU it. They can shut down their comments section but that can't prevent themselves from being DUFUed.

Th best thing to do is not visit this blog. Don't give her any hits and maybe she will go away. Unlikely, she thinks she is it.

The real blogosphere will tear it to pieces.
Think about it: why would a celebrity agree to post on this site? They think their opinion will suddenly be important or noticed in ways it wasn't already. What they really think is that they can write opinions without having to suffer the indignity of defending them.
They are about to be mugged by reality.
