The "referees" ad was a hilarious takedown of the ubiquitous and increasingly annoying Miller Lite ads. CSPI is a Naderite organization, so it's not suprising that they are finding such trivial things to whine about.

There's a reason Budweiser uses horses in their commercials.

I didn't think it was possible to get drunk drinking Bud Light.

You bring up an interesting problem, but I think this is why "chugging" came into being.

I agree with the criticism. Anyone who would duck work to have a beer is an idiot, unworthy of employment and has a serious alcohol abuse problem.

I find most beer commercials fairly sophomoric. I just don't buy those products. Most mass-produced American beer is pisswater anyway.

"Anyone who would duck work to have a beer is an idiot, unworthy of employment and has a serious alcohol abuse problem."

And a commercial is going to make someone think it's OK to adopt this behavior? Puh-leeze!

I wouldn't know.

1> I don't drink.

2. I'm not picky. Diet or lite tasstes the same to me as the original product. But why mess with perfection? :)

Their beer tastes like horse urine?

So you think commercials have no effect on people? Check again my friend.

The object of the commercial is to portray these idiots as somehow normal and worthy of emulation by others and BTW to drink that particular brand of beer.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting. Most people are inherently dumb and easily led, explaining people who drink beer and people who vote democrat.
