Syrians End Military Presence in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Syrian troops burned documents and dismantled military posts in their final hours in Lebanon Sunday, before deploying toward the border and effectively ending 29 years of military presence in the country.

Why isn't the "Lame Steam Media" giving this more attention? I don't know everything that caused this to happen, the press has been rather convoluted in reporting this, so I tend to believe that it was "Bush's fault." Good, that's exactly what we hired him to do...twice.

Instead, "Fat Tim" rolls out the same old drones knocking, and defaming the Pope. Yup, no agenda there!

Still a long way to go. The full withdrawal and the fact that syrians would be convinced to respect it are not for tomorrow.

Syrian regular units (T-54 tanks and Air Defense) are coming back to the lebanese territory South East of Baalbeck though dirt roads across the border, under the flag of palestinian organizations.

That is exactly how the war started in Lebanon in the first place in the early seventies. That is how Syria is sending 'foreign' combattants to Irak.
