Worth repeating: McCain and Hillary both see this as THE issue for 2008 and they're positioning themselves, even if all they propose is total B.S.
It's also worth noting, though, that if this did happen you'd see a lot of Federal tax dollars flowing into New York. The Senator would make sure of that. There was discussion two years ago from both NY senators that NY sends more tax dollars to Washington than they ever see coming back into the state...

There was discussion two years ago from both NY senators that NY sends more tax dollars to Washington than they ever see coming back into the state...So does Ohio. That's inevitable with a progressive income tax on the richer states and welfare going to the poorer states. Liberal-voting New Yorkers are getting just what they deserve. I just wish their votes didn't hurt Ohiioans so much.
