My condolenses on the loss of your precious son, words are not an adequate thing to express the sorrow I feel.

I've walked that mile in your shoes 15 years ago this month when my 16 year old was brutally beaten to death by a recividist sociopath juvenile who was the local bully and drug dealer just to see what it felt like to kill. He did 14.5 of a 20 year plea bargained sentence, they released him this last June having maxed out his 'good behavior' time. We fought 6 parole hearings, the first 10 months after he was sentenced.

Over 12,000 people a year lose their lives to REPEAT offenders on parole or probation! An equal amount of people are raped by repeat offenders. parole & probation stats

The last time I checked the stats, over -> 40% <- of the felons on Death Row were out on parole, bail, or some other form of release from an *earlier* crime at the time that they committed the offense that earned them the death penalty...

How horrible. I'm so sorry to read of the murder of your beloved son. I'm sure he was a wonderful and most promising 16 year-old.

Thank you for attending all those parole board hearings and keeping his killer away from the general population for years. The terrible thing is that we both fear that other families' hearts will be broken like yours was now that the animal has been released. The judicial system is broken.

My thoughts are with you and all of us..Thank you for your reply..I just returned from the cemetery with my other son.. We not only bury our loved ones so sadly taken away, but also cover our rage and continue with life.. The reminders emerge from personal thoughts or news reports and our focus is directed again at the useless unjustice system that we must replace.. Enjoy the Springtime and continue the fight...
