Obviously the marriage age was much lower years ago, and for us today to reflect on the morality of thousand years ago is very inappropriate. For example, it was legal to have slaves, and slave owners were permitted to have sex with their slaves too (only men can have sex with slave women!). When people reflect on the behavior and culture thousands of years ago, it easy to see how barbaric they were, and how civilized we are now.

Since Mo was a purported prophet from god I would think he would have risen above the hoi polloi and left the child brides alone. I can't think of an instance where a child was made a bride in the Bible, though I'm no expert.
