Just got an email from a friend. She drives The Wall (the traveling one) from town to town.

This morning, Saturday, I took off for MA and got as far as Fishkill, NY and will drive onto MA tomorrow. I will meet the state police and many motorcycles at a rest stop on the MA turnpike, and they will escort me into Boylston. A fun part of the job. We set up on Wednesday and will be open until Monday..tear down and on Tuesday, go to East Haven, CT, set up for the week, tear down and on the following Tuesday, move to Billerica, MA.

I got to see it here in Anchorage a couple years ago. WOW! Very moving.

Poor GBU ;)

I love The Carey films.

My old boss was in operation petticoat and says that Carey was a class act in real life as well

I haven't read a comic book since before TV. What did I do from a comic book? Maybe it's a google thing.

In the misty moonlight...
on the cobblestone path
the Lord and his Lady
considered a dance...

The plans were laid out with the greatest of care
that thousands of dancers would come for the Fair.

That must be a big job driving the wall around. I've seen the real one a bunch of times but not the traveling one.

"This is Massachusetts. The only time Democrats laugh it is fake. Here, they look at you as if you're crazy which makes you laugh more, which makes them more crazy. It's great!"

OK,  I have been backtracking a thread of  comments for a bit, and I simply cannot find the true genesis of  certain comments. Screw it, I move on.......

I am reminded of a certain local (Boston area) radio commentator comments a while back concerning the fact that persons who appreciate music seem to think that the proper interpretations of Music and Lyrics does universally support a left wing agenda.

Personally, I think that there are times when persons with musical talents simply do not understand their own gifts.

Other times I think that certain gifted persons are simply willfully ignorant.

IMHO:  music, and verse are not Left or Right. Only the very ignorant would ever imagine that the contrary was so. If a musician or singer were to disagree with that notion then I would suggest that their talent is actually nothing more than superficial. That is to say, ultimately music and politics do not mix. Music being used as a criticism of Politics and the Society on the other hand makes perfect sense to me.

Rant......

As if Peter, Paul, and Mary were great. As if Bruce Springteen was not influenced by a certain Dan Peek (formerly of the rock group America) when he wrote Born in the USA! I see so many examples of what outside of the  music world  would and only could be called plagiarism. Music, just as certain scientific advancement is built upon the works of others. Gosh I am having trouble expressing myself in this rant.

The Democrat Party in the USA is an abomination. It is clearly a mutation which evolved from a group espoused to a failed agenda which endorsed slavery and also an agenda which was the sui generis of one of the schisms that has polarized our country for the last  forty plus years.

The Democrat Party only can be effective when it keeps people in conflict. The Democrats are divisive, and they are proponents of a plantation mentality. Now as ever, they endorse slavery yet they call it by a different name. They are Orwellian indeed.

End of Rant......

I need a drink............
