That would depend on what the imams would perceive to be to their advantage. To weaken Christian faith, they would "encourage" this type of thing as "tolerance", but when they felt that Christianity was sufficiently weakened, then the velvet glove would come off, revealing the mailed fist concealed therein. It is a form of "Taqqiya", the practice of deliberate deception to gain a momentary advantage for Islam...

The Catholic Church founded Western civilization 1500 years ago and ruled it for the first 1000 years. Now that the West seems on the verge of falling like ancient Rome, it is necessary for the Church to reassert herself.
