Follow the facts to the truth.

Even the links you provide lead to other links. Follow the money, follow the agenda of those she, and now you, are promoting.

They empower those who hate America and Americans and Christians, and who, if they got the opportunity, would brutally kill naive little old you just like they did Marla Ruzinka.

Certain forms of naivete are fatal, sometimes, unfortunately, to millions of people.

It is exactly the sort of Christianity you are defending which supported the Soviets and their gulags in the Cold War, too.

You shall know a tree by its fruits.

"Follow the facts to the truth."

I have. And I've read the column. It is filled with lies and opinion. I judge anti-rightist propaganda with the same critical eye and take hits from liberals because of that. I am an independent and am not swayed against this woman because she was a leftist. I actually agree with her counting the dead, that was mandated in a recent law passed by Congress. This mean writer said Marla equated 911 victims with the deaths of terrorists. That is a lie. I do not look with favor upon liars, and I don't have any information to show Marla lied about anything. The mean writer also said that we shouldn't give the same empathy to Iraqi civilians as 911 victims. I disagree, 100%. I empathize will all innocent victims of terrorism, and war, regardless of whether or not it was deliberate or accidental.

"Even the links you provide lead to other links. Follow the money, follow the agenda of those she, and now you, are promoting."

I have followed the links. They do not prove Marla "deserved" to die for counting the Iraq war dead.
While I don't care for the groups she affiliated herself with, it does not mean she was a bad person. I have quite a few friends who are leftists, and I wouldn't be their friends if they were mean, evil people. I wouldn't look upon their deaths as something good, anymore than I would cheer a neo-con death.

"They empower those who hate America and Americans and Christians, and who, if they got the opportunity, would brutally kill naive little old you just like they did Marla Ruzinka."

Really? I think the people she tried to help may have developed the understanding that not all Americans want to kill them. When you speak of "they" you are speaking of terrorists, not Iraqi civilians. Just because one opposes the war does not mean they like Hussein or are allied with bloodthirsty warmongers like Al-Queda. Having sympathy with little boys who get their arms blown off is NOT the same as supporting terrorism.

"Certain forms of naivete are fatal, sometimes, unfortunately, to millions of people."

Yes, she was obviously naive, a fact her republican parents well know by now. They must be really horrified to see fellow republicans dancing on their daughter's grave.

"It is exactly the sort of Christianity you are defending which supported the Soviets and their gulags in the Cold War, too."

Huh? Then would it be true if I said joining in with Stalin during WW2 was "in support" of killing 20 million Russians? When acting as the world's policemen, unintended consequences do occur.

"You shall know a tree by its fruits."

Yes. The fruit of war is more war and more hate. Marla was a pacifist.
