Paul Martin is a loathsome crook
worse than Chretien
because he is smoother and more successful
(and richer)
but Paul Martin did not own Cordex
he owned shares in Cordex.
There is a slight difference
and giving the article such a title
brings discredit to "Canada Free Press"
which has produced some valuable stories.
"Paul Martin is a loathsome crook
worse than Chretien"
Unlike Martin, Chretien did not get rich on his way to the top that's for sure.
I like Martin better than Chretien. Chretien was a dyed-in-the-wool anti-American of the lefty type. His comments about 9/11, his failure to appear with Blair at Bush's post-9/11 speech, his globalist sentiments. Martin's disputes with us don't seem to be ideological.
Over the years I've read many Canadian commentaries very laudatory of trans-national institutions and global governance. From below the feelings were ideological, but the inspiration came from above where profit was the motive.
Good catch, but if he owned enough shares, that investment could have benefitted him significantly, personally and directly.
I was thinking the same thing. And $1 million dollars is not a whole lot to invest in a company. Consider that the $1 million may be Canadian and . . .
Conservatives better get their ducks in a row over this one. It doesn't smell like scandal to me. Connecting Martin to Saddam seems a whole lot like connecting GW Bush to Andy Fastow of Enron.
Hey, this doesn't rhyme aye?
