Huh. I wonder what Rowan Williams' interest is? It's not like he's a religious man.

Forgive me, it's early. When I first read the headline my mind pictured a British monkey attending the ceremony..

"Israel Singer, chairman of the World Jewish Congress, says Ratzinger "was the man who provided the theological underpinnings for Pope John Paul II's decision to open relations with Israel. He solved the real problem that existed - the 2,000-year-old theological question. He was the one who had the keys to open that lock. In the last 20 years he has changed the 2,000-year history of relations between Jews and Christianity. I believe he will continue the policies of John Paul II with regard to relations with the Jews and Israel."

I wonder what Rowan Williams' interest is? It's not like he's a religious man.The Lord has been speaking to the hearts of many in recent days. Seventy+ world leaders, exchanging the peace, was unprecedented, a miracle in fact.

Sadly, the new Pope doesn't look all that well. He needs to eat his Wheaties.

Does anyone remember the name of the person that predicted Christ's return by the number of Pope's left to serve.

Malachi or Malachy (it's spelled differently depending on the source).

Thank you, I have been racking my brain trying to remember his name. Very frustrating.

I read the headline and wondered why they would have a Gorilla at the Inauguration.

For pity's sake.
I'm all for standing up against liberalism, but to suggest that Rowan the Fuzzy is not religious is so patently absurd that it ruins any good that there may be in what you say.

I saw in the WSJ this morning that the Pope has also invited the Chief Rabbi of Rome.

Invitin the Primate of the Anglican Communion will strike fear into the hearts of the Anglican Church in North America, which is so deeply obsessed with sex (homosexuality, abortion, condoms, the end of celibacy or everyone) that it can't even begin to concentrate on religion. This perhaps will be one more signal that the Anglican Communion in the world has finally figured out that it's time to stomp on this Church of Free Love attitude and bring the Anglican Church back to God.
Meanwhile I'm going to the Catholic church and praying that the Anglicans will see the light and be saved.
To: maryz
(sigh)...I never get invited to these things...

You should have thought of that before you passed up being Chief Rabbi or Rome or Archbishop of Canterbury. Well, next time you'll know! ;-)
