I think it would be a great way to reduce the wild hog population.
However, hunting is about getting outdoors, fellowship and the hunt. The kill is secondary in my book.
Somebody tell me how to post pictures and I'll show you some Axis deer I sneaked up on in a river bed.
It is not online hunting. It is online shooting. A hunter uses skill and smarts and knowledge of the environment. An online shooter is just the older iteration of a hairy-palmed videogame nerd. Online shooting is the same as shooting an animal that is in a 5 by 5 cage, and then bragging how 'proficient' one is. It is definitely not hunting, and thus should not be referred to by that name.
Either way, I don't see a problem with it.
In fact, if someone wanted to hook up video feed and a remote-controlled robotic hand, we could have people remotely run parts of packing plants.
It's good all around.
This would be a great way for the severaly disabled and extreme elderly to still remain active hunters for a long time to come I m all for it.If any california politician is against it then its a great thing and not only should it be legal it should be mandatory just to tick them off

As for the online shooting. Hey, if someone wants to do it they can go ahead. It is a free country after all. However they should not call themselves 'hunters' because they are not. In fact in some ways they are as far from hunters as someone can get. I'd probably say the only thing worse are the 'hunters' who pay big bucks to shoot exotic animals in a small cage,and then brag about it. That is not hunting ....it is merely shooting.
Online 'hunting' is akin to online sex .....nothing more than glorified masturbation.
but if people want to do it (online shooting) they can go ahead. I just would not call them hunters, and would consider them quite pathetic (especially if they are able-bodied).

I am personally a compound bow guy, but i still have maximum respect for my gun-totting brethren. After all it is not the tool but the man (or woman). What i cannot stand is stuff like caged 'hunts.' That is not even hunting in the first place. Actually i guess technically there are 3 things: hunting, sport shooting, and wannabe-shooting. The first 2 are ok ....the last one is mostly for retards and wannabes who think shooting a caged lion through the bars makes them a man.
As a sportsman, I am offended.
As a staunch vegetarian and Libertarian I support this man's business. Politicians want to kill any good idea in this country. I'd like the NRA to get behind this guy.
I think it was smart politics of the guy to get one of his first customers to be a paralyzed former hunter.
Hunting with a rifle just doesn't excite me. I just don't unerstand the excitement my friends get out of shooting a deer with a scoped rifle from 200 yards and beyond. They claim it's an adrenaline rush. I have no problem with people that like to blast deer with rifles, I just think If you want excitement or a rush, it would be best to hunt in a manner in which you are exposed to some sort of danger.
