I've got the hunch that JR is sitting on what will be the biggest scandal of the 2006 election. Timing is everything.
You are right, timing is everything. But by 2006, the Maryland media will be in full smear mode against Ehrlich and Steele. I just hope that, in 2006, late breaking developments in the story won't get written off as "old news" by the biased media gatekeepers.
I swear I can remember seeing that snippet they posted on their article before. I also recall comments by MD4Bush along the lines of "let's do like Karl Rove did to..."
Good news. Exposure of Democrat fraud should be priority #1 across the country.
There is both a WBAL-TV (the I-Team mentioned above) and a WBAL radio station. The TV station is your more-than-typical-left TV and the radio station is, oddly enough, conservative talk-radio. I believe they are both owned by the same company, but I'm not sure.
MD4BUSH posted that to threads publicly. Either you saw that there, or you saw it on FR threads since. It hasn't been in the news before.
MD4 Bush Ping!
FReepmail me if you want on or off the list.
Is Ehrlich a RINO, or an actual conservative? Was the Democrat he was against mired in scandal in the last election? (I can't see how a truly conservative Republican can win in liberal Maryland without some other help)
From Here
Ehrlich seems to be an actual conservative. He ran against Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a seriously feather-headed Kennedy with lots of problems of her own.
I like the guy, and think he would make a good Presidential candidate... except that he's pro abortion. Not quite my definition of a conservative.
Take a few minutes to read this article and through the thread. This might be a good one. :-)
Keep an eye on this story. At a minimum the Post ends up with egg on its "face."
Here's some information on the whereabouts of Steffen's computer:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A55486-2005Mar21.html
EXCERPT
[Maryland Attorney General J. Joseph Curran Jr. (D)] Curran said he recused himself from the review of the Steffen e-mails because he is O'Malley's father-in-law. But he said lawyers in his office did advise the governor's staff about which e-mails should be released and which ones they had the discretion to withhold. The final decision, Curran said, rested with the governor and his staff.
Curran also shed some light on reports that Steffen's computer hard drive was no longer being held by his office. Curran said his office received a written request from Ehrlich's chief counsel, Jervis Finney, to ship the computer to an analyst at ICG Inc. of Princeton, N.J., for inspection.
The company's Web site says it can use "forensic tools and techniques" to "extract critical information from deleted and partially overwritten files, as well as from other physical hard drive locations normally inaccessible or invisible to the user."
Yes..but he doesn't seem to be the usual rabid firebreathing abortionist.
# Supports abortion rights, with mixed voting record. (Apr 2002)
# Voted YES on funding for health providers who don't provide abortion info. (Sep 2002)
# Voted YES on banning human cloning, including medical research. (Jul 2001)
# Voted YES on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes. (Apr 2001)
# Voted YES on banning partial-birth abortions. (Apr 2000)
# Voted YES on barring transporting minors to get an abortion. (Jun 1999)
Agreed. Like I said, I like the guy. He's a very attractive candidate, but the reason he didn't immediately jump to the top of the '08 Presidential list (IMHO) is this issue. If he sincerely moves to the right, however - and wins re-election - who knows what 2012 might bring?
This is why there is media bias. The Media is like a court trial where only one side gets to present evidence. Sure, they are telling the truth ( most of the time), but it is only half the truth.
How is it that abortion is conservative or liberal ? I thought conservative meant restrictions on govt. and more individual freedom.
Abortion is about morals and defining a fetus/baby as such which is outside the conservative/liberal distinction.
