All of the lies, the grand jury said, became a conspiracy to impede the Senate in its confirmation responsibilities, the FBI in doing background investigations of Cabinet nominees and the Justice Department in determining who is worthy of top-secret national security clearance.
Don't know if this has any relation to our previous subject. Clinton's first notorious action after taking office was to replace (fire) all federal prosecutors and appoint a do nothing Attorney General. Whence an investigation into corruption or improprieties arose, special prosecutors were needed.
Clinton's obstruction tactics were that of a mob shyster in control of the Justice Dept.
That the Executive Branch controls Justice and the military investigative services is a national security problem when a corrupt executive is in charge, is a situation that invites disaster. And it did; and it probably will continue until we clean house of that era's appointees and cronies.
