Pope Benedict XVI is the last hope for Europe against secularism and the last hope for Latin America against the Theology of Liberation
I welcome this new pope. But I think your statement is a little strong. For so many converts who come to the lord, things are at their very darkest before the light comes. Europe is failing. Mental illness, depression and suicide are at all time highs.
And, many evangelical denominations have active missionaries in Europe.
All that said, in this Pope, we have an ally against the relativism and post-modernism of Europe, and the world and he may be the tool the Holy Spirit chooses to bring many Europeans to the Lord.
