True enough, but we know that Bush won't do that. We will want a seat at the table, though I think the way to reform the UN us to REMOVE it. I hope if Bolton doesn't get in Bush takes his sweet time replacing him as nominee to the point where Reid and Pelosi call a press conference calling on him to blah blah blah.

I am probably one of the biggest "let's not go nuclear" people in this place, and I am completely fed up with these wussy Republicans. I was one of those calling for calm and thoughtfulness since November. Well, that time is OVER.

I know, Darkwolf. But this institution is so corrupt, I don't know of anyone who would take this job except a person with a strong sense of duty and love of his country. Bolton is such a man, I believe.
I can see Bolton taking the UN on, but as CitizenM said, trying to reform the UN would be like treating cancer with an aspirin.

My brain is so tired now, I can hardly think (or type) straight anymore. I have spent the afternoon and evening reacting to this disgusting state of events, reading as many posts as I could.

How about that grand old phrase, US out of the UN, and the UN OUT of the US!
