Just throw everything out there, watch our political operation mount a feeble defense, and the "big tent" republicans will scatter. and these "allegations" against Bolton are nothing. Remember that the Dems were ready to show records that Robert Bork rented adult films. and we all saw what went on with Clarence Thomas. That's what's coming.
what should have been done here you ask? well, aside from the white house calling these senators once in a while (I am convinced that the white house never spoke to Voinovich on this matter), how many americans really know what the Dems true agenda is here? why they don't like Bolton, and why the UN is so important to them, why they want it to weaken US sovereignty and power in the world, and right to self defense in national security and military matters.
had the white house put that spin on this nomination - had they made it a national security issue, an issue that the Dems are sensitive on, we would have won it.
