OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..
Both would be cool.
How about Denny Hastert? Don't know much about him, but I like what I have read about him.
I have to tell you the Gop just keep disappointing me---
I am watching Chrissy Matthews and he has on John Thune and Jon Corzine---
Corzine has hit every single dem "talking point" re: Bolton, but Thune just says well we will see what happens, and we have to look at the evidence---
When asked if he would vote for him, Thune says ,well if he gets out of committee, I think he is the kind of person we need at the UN---
Thune didn't bad mouth Bolton, but he sure didn't put his heart into defending him, or questioning the tactics of the Dems---gosh, even Chrissy had to admit that there wasn't proof of these allegations.....
Just heard on Brit Hume:
Voinovich said that the Holy Spirit moved him to vote down Bolton yesterday.
Imagine not being able to discern the difference between a UN demon and the Holy Spirit.
FYI..as promised..here ya go..
I appreciate the ping. Thread is bookmarked.
If we do not have a UN rep do we still pay our dues?
We do not like how the UN is managing world situations.
Oil for Food and Kofi still sits in the main chair.
The UN and the Pedophilia scandal.
And what really surprises me is --
The Democrats do not want to see reform!!! Are their hands a little sticky.
