Posted on 04/19/2005 11:07:48 AM PDT by ken5050

OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..

Bolton has to be voted out of committee, then be voted on in the full senate.
Lugar couldn't even get him voted out of committee!
We need a "Hammer" in the senate.

The President needs to call Voinovich and tell him that he is pulling the plug on any pet projects. NOW!

The Executive branch signs the checks you know.

2. Voinovich's reason for not voting for Bolton today? "I haven't been to the hearings and haven't heard all these allegations until now." Embarrassing.

Holy crap. He actually said that? So his position is that he is negligent in his duties so therefore he needed to blind-side Lugar and the President? Holy crap.

Yeah. Last thing he said after he gave his hiney to Biden was, "OK, we'll trust each other."

We know Bush can, but the question is will the rest play the game? Todays display makes it very difficult to believe the pubs have spines....WE'VE been waiting for 4years for them to regroup and find some solid brass b***s! It ain't happened so far and it ain't gonna happened soon...to be frank, it's getting extremely tiresome!

"Frist will have to do a 6 hour fix."
I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, but I ain't holding my breath!

Sorry. I'm too disheartened right now to even care.

I love George Bush, but I don't see him ripping the heart out of anyone. All I see at this time is a stack of judges kicked to the curb by the spineless party I've fought so hard to get elected.

I'm tired of being kicked in the teeth.

Yeah. Last thing he said after he gave his hiney to Biden was, "OK, we'll trust each other."

Biden probably felt just like Hitler did after Munich 1938.

It was a lame cover for his sudden betrayal.

My response is that the citizens of Ohio should immediately circulate petitions asking for his resignation since by own admission he was derelict in his responsibilities.

Perlstein is a reporter for The Village Voice. He studies FReepers like Margaret Mead studied Samoans.

Don't pay him any mind, he's basically harmless.

Yes, but will he? Or will Frist? Maybe we need another campaign to motivate the party leadership to lead.

Lugar got rolled.

Lugar got blindsided by a RINO.

Reps will soon be back in the minority where they seem to find comfort, obviously they're not ready to lead.

Sadly.

We are strong supporters of the ORP....

Ah, there you are! We know how strongly you support the party. Good for you. Go get 'em. This was just despicable.

Last thing he said after he gave his hiney to Biden was, "OK, we'll trust each other."

To which Biden replied "Who's your daddy?"......absolutely the most pathetic
emasculation of the senate GOP that I've ever witnessed.
........and that's saying something.

George Bush is not facing re-election and he will rip the heart out of these scums so bad that Frist will have to do a 6 hour fix.

Unfortunately he just seems too nice for hardball, hope I'm wrong.

Could Bush appoint Bolton during the upcoming recess, That would be a good "in your face" move???
