OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..

I've hated that man since I lived in PA ten years ago, but I feel badly for him now.

This is not good,
No old friend is near him,
No Conservative nigh,
To muse on his sorrows,
Or give sigh for sigh.

In the days past, allegiance to ones party was a bonding unity that held together no matter what storm hit, but in these times loyalty means jack! Today will be remembered by the lousy RATS as a day they brought down the NECLEAR OPTION without ever firing a single shot!

Girl, I know just what you mean! Husband's off on business, have the house and the TV remote to myself--and this is what I'm doing. It's pitiful, this getting old stuff.

This congress is essentially over for Bush's agenda and I expect we'll lose seats (maybe even the majority) in the mid-terms. Hell, I'll have a very hard time giving my money, time and support to our candidates after this pathetic embarrassment.

I should have kept cleaning the toilets and mopping the kitchen floor instead of watching that despicable display on the tube...oh well, the pubs strike again...bummer! Cleaning toilets is less painful!:(
