KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A rabbi wearing a yarmulke and a man wearing swastikas got into a fight at Kansas City International Airport Sunday evening.
According to a police report, Rabbi David Fine, 36, of Overland Park, was in the KCI terminal when he commented to Steven T. Boswell, 30, of Olathe, about a large swastika logo on his shirt and his swastika necklace.
Fine told Boswell that he should be ashamed of himself, and Boswell responded by calling the rabbi inhuman, the police report stated.
The rabbi allegedly threw a cup of coffee in Boswell's face and punched him. Boswell told police he then repeatedly punched Fine in the head.
Both men were handcuffed and charged with disorderly conduct. They refused medical attention.
The responding officer said Fine had some small bumps on his head and Boswell had coffee stains on his clothing.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on June 22.
It's a 1st Amendment issue if the government declines to prosecute the rabbi because of the message which he committed assault over. If the government is using the force of law to silence one message while protecting an opposing message, that is a 1st Amendment issue.
He's free to say "Please kick my Nazi, punk ass" all he wants. He shouldn't be surprised, however, if someone takes him at his word.
We do say BOO and I agree with you, Muslims are far more dangerous to Jews AND Christians than some loser, pimple faced, lives in his parents' basement Nazi wannabe. Any muslim who tries to hurt me or my child will answer for it, and I'll ping you for that 1000. On second thought, I'll just ping you, I'll pay for my own defense. I have been personally threatened by muslims before, and they haven't shut me down yet.
Unfortunately, the left and the liberal establishment support the islamics, despite their inflammatory rhetoric.
A pox on BOTH their houses.
Of course there is no law against being an jackass by wearing a swastika. But if you do, be prepared to get jacked; we aren't going to quietly line up for the showers anymore.
My comment was in response to her suggestion that Jews won't tolerate such treatment. I, personally, should hope they wouldn't. But I'm a bit skeptical. Then, I made the point that Jews, and, of course, everyone else engages in the Abortion Holocaust.
ariamne's response is to have such comments censored. Perhaps a reflexive behavior from the past ariamne hasn't overcome. For future reference, simply try to understand the poster's comments or explain why you disagree. I doubt we are on opposing sides of this issue.
That would be wise, but I always prefer people think for themselves. :^)
"Does that mean that a US flag is tantamount to a Nazi flag? No."
Forget the 'Nazi' thing for a second. In your opinion, is it OK for us to kick the ass of someone based on the shirt they are wearing?
That's the issue here, not this assclown's love of a dead&defeated ideology.
Using your line of thought so far, it'd be OK for some piece of Eurotrash to attack an American tourist wearing a Bush T-shirt because the shirt wearer was asking for it.
Ironically, that line of thinking is closer to the limited thought process of Nazism than what America supposedly stands for.
"My dad shot people who carried that message. Was he wrong?"
Nope. War had been declared. But see, the Nazis surrendered in May, 1945. So it'd be wrong to shoot them today on the basis of the shirts they wear.
Which is unfortunate, as I think all Nazis should die, but that's for another thread.
Oh yeah. Sho nuff. This is a great example.
So true. The Islamic terrorists who took down the WTC killed hundreds of times more Jews in one day, than all these neo-Nazi groups put together have killed in the entire history of their existence. In fact, the toll of the average Palestinian suicide bomber in Israel -- of which there have been hundreds -- is higher than what all these groups have ever killed.
These neo-Nazis get WAY more attention than they warrant, and they LOVE it. It makes them feel SO important, and makes it much easier for them to recruit attention-craving young losers.
"Let's leave the CBF out of this one"
Chesapeake Bay Foundation?
Canadian Bridge Federation?
Sorry - that's the first two things Google returned on 'CBF'...
Are you really trying to say that of the 40 million some American children aborted since Roe v Wade, none of them were Jewish? I didn't think so. Are you also trying to say that of the 100s of people in a PVS that are euthanized each year in America, none of them are Jewish? I didn't think so. Your comments are childish. Do try to respond with something related to reality.

You insinuated that Jews were responsible for all the abortions and euthanasia in this country. What does this story thread have to do with abortion and euthanasia anyway, and why would you link the two, unless you believed Jews were somehow responsible for these two inhuman acts? As for your personal insults, why, it sounds like I touched a nerve. Good.
Now, why don't you come clean and admit you don't like Jews, and you blame them for all the ills in society?
I'm going to take the wild west approach to this one. The same approach I grew up with and witnessed a few times in my life.
Yeah, yeah, the Rabbi was breaking the law by throwing some coffee and punching the sad sack little nazi in the face. Yeah he can be prosecuted for doing it.
Some things just demand justice, however. Nazi's have done a lot to hurt Jews over the centuries, and work like little banshees to keep hurting Jews.
So the solution is: try the moral route of correction required of a clergy member, and when it goes horribly south and you know the little frog is going to try to assault you, kick the little punks tail before he kicks yours, and turn yourself in when you finish whipping on him.
Some things are worth a misdemeanor conviction.
"Oh yeah. Sho nuff. This is a great example."
OK. Your honesty is appreciated, as is your consistency. Unfortunately, it's also OK to sue the pants off of such a person. If this idiot Nazi had refrained from 'defending himself', he coulda had rabbi thrown in jail on assault charges.
But "intelligence" and "Nazi" only appear together in a sentence such as this one.
The Rabbi did the right thing.
Oops, your post was deleted..gotcha!
Right, because they didn't think that already. </sarcasm>
That's silly. If the government prosecutes, then it will do so not because of what was said, but because what transpired -- that is, a fist fight in the middle of the airport.
Cause it's time to start cooking dinner?
