Twelve years ago on April 19, 1993 at 6:02 AM an FBI HRT vehicle penetrated the wall of the Branch Davidian compound near Waco, Texas to insert CS gas. By 1:00 PM of the same day, scores of innocent men, women and children will have died in a massive fire that engulfed the wooden buildings of the compound.

Having been surrounded for 51 days by Federal agents since they were attacked by 100 BATF agents on a Sunday morning, February 28, 1993 they feared for their lives.

The burning of the Branch Davidians would prompt a revenge bombing of the Federal Building two years later on April 19, 1995. The lawless acts committed by Federal agents on February 28, 1993 were the beginning of one of the most flagrant displays of Federal power against INNOCENT citizens in the history of our Nation.

Let no citizen forget these shameful acts of Federal law enforcement during the Spring of 1993.

Some of the vitroil comes from the fact that the babies didn't have a choice. I personally think it was a hostage situation and there wasn't much that could be done. But they should have nabbed the leader in town instead of storming a bunch of armed people. But after it was done, Koresh should have released the kids.

Ah, are you saying its OK to shoot up a church building on a Sunday morning that is occupied with an untold number of innocent men, women and children so that an arrest of one person can be affected?

Yes, I know they had a warrant.

Never proven they had illegal weapons and they had been at a firing range with officers just weeks or days before. I know of no federal laws broken that precipitated the attack on the compound.

How about poison gas being inserted via tanks.

Burning children to death

shooting unarmed people who tried to escape

lack of planning & the illegal use of the military against civilians

>>These people had illegal weapons...

You fell for the lies. (You forgot the allegations of child molestation).

>>... and fired on federal agents serving a warrant (issued by a judge).

Who fired first? How many JBTs were killed by their fellow JBTs?

These people had illegal weapons and fired on federal agents serving a warrant (issued by a judge).

Not true.

David Koresh came to the door with a child in his arms and was fired upon immediately. The child was killed and he was wounded.

The Feds came in with guns blazing. They wanted headlines, and they got them.

The Branch Davidian "compound" should have been treated as a crime scene when the conflagration was over, but it wasn't so that the Feds could destroy all the evidence.

Furthermore, the Feds shot unarmed people trying to escape the flames on the final day.

"think it was a hostage situation"

The Feds stated that they shot two people that were escaping the backside location. This is always a good way to resolve a hostage situation.

These people had illegal weapons and fired on federal agents serving a warrant (issued by a judge). Were they restricted from leaving the compound? I'm not quite sure where all the vitriol comes from.

Koresh could have been picked up in town any number of times but the ATF made the decision to grab him with a commando like show of force ... and got burned.

Things went downhill after that.

One should never forget just how ruthless a Rat-controlled Justice Department can be toward American citizens.

I've a visitor to since 1998. April 19th is one of those days that really disturbs my American sensibilities.

The whole event was staged by the jack-booted thugs of the BATF to help justify their next years budget appropriation.

They could easily have arrested Koresh on a number of occasions, but that wouldn't have been dramatic enough.

BTW, they first launched a propaganda campaign in the media to paint Koresh as a child-abusing whacko: I read the propaganda in the Nashville Tennessean the very morning of the first assault, in February.
Coincidence?
Hardly.

Clinton never memorializes the men, women and children he and General Reno
gassed and incinerated at Waco. Where was the outrage of the
American people then??? Over 80 of their fellow citizens were murdered by
our government, and the public collectively yawned........
because that's what the MSM told them to do.
I'll NEVER forget it.
To this day, I can not see Bill Clinton without feeling utter revulsion,
and THIS, not Monica, is why.
