If they kill the Bolton nomintation, then my suggestion is that we just leave the post vacant.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Just send the UN a note saying we vote no on everything.

Exactly. The UN is constantly in opposition to US interests, what better way to get them to come around than to ignore them. If there is any downside whatsoever to not having an ambassador, we can blame it on the Democrats in general, and this committee in particular.

This may even help us with judges, as Dem obstructionism will be exposed as having detrimental consequences.

That would roast the RATs' nuts, wouldn't it? Our chair permanently vacant at the UN. I like it!

That might make a valid, albeit back-door, justification for withholding "dues" (extortion). Taxation without representation and all that good stuff...

Yep. Just tell the Rhinos, "No Bolton, No other nominee." Seat remains vacant.

Yes, just leave whatever careerist "acting secretary" we have there now. The UN is not important enough to rate an ambassador.

That was brilliant, Brilliant!

I would add, that the U.S. check for it's "share" of U.N. expenses be sown into the shirt pocket of Mr. Bolton....

No Bolten, no U.S. Ambassador and no U.S. money to the U.N..
