If they kill the Bolton nomintation, then my suggestion is that we just leave the post vacant.

I hope the GOP has the berries to throw out these turn-coat, leftist RINOs and replace them. What a miserable group of limp-wristed, weaklings these dirtbags have turned out to be...every day the Repubs become more of a disappointment.

must add fellow presidential hopeful Sen. Chuck Hagel (R.-Neb.) to his list of possible turncoats.

This is one of the funniest lines I have seen all day. I know that some people banter about the name of this ass, but does he really think that anyone who votes in a primary (outside of New England and likely Nebraska) is going to vote for him?

If Hagel sabotages this nomination he can kiss the nomination goodbye, and my ass simultaneously....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  That's RICH!!!  He couldn't win the nomination if he ran unopposed!

If the Senate screws up the Bolton nomination, the next UN Ambassador should be one of these dunking birds. All it will have to do will be continually tap the veto button at the security council.

Dunking bird

Conservatives in Washington believe that, in effect, a vote against Bolton would put an end to any hopes for higher political office that Sen. Hagel may harbor.

No kidding.

Maybe he could join Jeffords and reconstitute the "Know Nothing" party.

The WH should strong arm Hagel and keep him in line. If they don't, it's blood in the water, and we'll hear the Lib. battlecry: 'Bush is a lame duck and can't get anything passed'. They'll circle for the kill and fight every single piece of legislation, they'll attack him and republicans 24/7. It'll be like the last Pres. campaign. Smear, smear, attack, attack, with the connivance of the MSM. The public will be sick of it soon enough, but some of the mud will stick.

If they kill the Bolton nomination, Bush should put up Ashcroft or Bork.

This does not make any sense. They would still have enough votes to pass. Why would Hagel jeopardize his standing on a throwaway vote like this?
