He's a politician. He wants something.

The Law of the Sea Treaty.

This does not make any sense. They would still have enough votes to pass. Why would Hagel jeopardize his standing on a throwaway vote like this?

The vote is in committee. The GOP needs all their guys (including Hagel and Chafee) to vote for Bolton to get him out of committee and onto the senate floor.

The President should call this Senator in and make the case for his choice IMO. Rumor and the Democrat spin machine should not trump the President of the United States, especially during war time when we need these people with special skills to get things done.

This is one guy I'm so sick and tired of, that I think Republicans need to seriously consider withdrawing all support from him.

He has done nothing but betray Republican policy, especially foreign policy, over the past few years. We need to go on a crusade against this guy, and I really don't care if a Demorat wins his seat. Ideologically, it's no loss to the Republican party. Just get him the heck out of
our Party.

Hagel is just trying to break into the Sunday morning TV circuit. He sees McPain and Biden getting major facetime and the adulation of the leftist press, and figures he can raise his stock by pandering to them. Just another empty-suited, phony-baloney, do-nothing, calculating, self-centered, wannabe, unprincipled pol, but I'm being redundant.

"maybe those who are defending this judicial murder could be said to be WORSE than Nazis."

Worse than Nazi's?

My, my. Things must be tough up there in Georgia. Whom did the judges kill now?

I think what you are predicting is already happening, they just aren't using the verbiage of "lame-duck"---

They are using "abuse of power", because the GOP has POTUS, Senate and the HOuse---

But, make no mistake, they have been given the orders by Soros and gang that everything (unless okayed by Soros and gang) will be slow-walked, stalled, delayed, denied, filibustered, put holds on---in a word, OBSTRUCTIONISM!!!

This is what is behind the Bolton nomination, the judicial nominees (other than the abortion issue, which is ALWAYS an issure where judges are concerned),the Social Security ads, etc.

These people are still angry from the 2000 election, and will act this way until Dubya is out of office, and being all politicians, any GOP rep. or senator that feels that he will be more "electable" by going against Bush, won't hesitate!!!!

-I hope the GOP has the berries to throw out these turn-coat, leftist RINOs and replace them.-

First they're going to have to grow the berries, then they're going to have to stop recruiting RINOs into the ranks.

...every day the Repubs become more of a disappointment.

They've been a disappointment for years...going back to the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings. These days they are an embarassment.

I just called Senator Hagel office in DC and I asked the Lady who answered the phone about this article that is saying that Hagel is leaning against Bolton nomination for UN ambassador. Unfortunately she did not deny this and she said that Hagel did not make his mind yet on Bolton nomination. I told her that it will very disappointing for the Republicans, and this will be a big mistake by Senator Hagel if he does vote against Mr. Bolton, and I hope that he will vote to confirm him as UN ambassador.

It's time to get these rats outta there.

The people in their state have to be convinced to do that task.

Ahh. Well still, it would be easy for these people to convene and remove Hagel from the committee and who knows what else someone like Karl Rove might come up with.

We should all learn from the PA primary last time around; Recall that the pres and us sheep let Spector off the hook and put him back in office. The only thing these guys understand is unemployment.

Let PA and all the other states stuck with a RINO be on their guard. The days of incumbent ownership of nominations are over. Kick the Bumbs out! Conservatives only need apply!

/rant on

I AM SO MAD - I CAN HARDLY BREATHE AND I MAY BE SPITTING NAILS AT ANY MOMENT.

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO KICK THESE NON-REPUBLICANS OUT OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY - AND PUT SOME REPUBLICANS WITH A SPINE ON THESE COMMITTEES ..??

I'm so on the edge of just bailing out of this stuff - I cannot tell how upset I am.

My representative in Congress, Senator Boxer, IS ON THE TAKE FROM GEORGE SOROS - A CONVICTED FELON - and these bozos are afraid to vote for a guy who's tough and knows how to be a boss ..?? Give me a break!!

The repubs don't want to be in power - they'd rather have their cocktail parties and invites to the cape. I'm sick of this garbage. And .. what's more frustrating is that there is not a damn thing I can do about it.

/rant off
