SAN FRANCISCO - A woman who led an effort to help those ravaged by violence in Iraq fell victim to the war herself when a car bomb killed her and two other people, officials said Sunday.
Marla Ruzicka, founder of Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict, died Saturday in the blast, which also killed an Iraqi and another foreigner, officials said. She had been in Iraq conducting door-to-door surveys trying to determine the number of civilian casualties in the country.
Ruzicka, 28, of Lakeport, founded CIVIC in 2003 and was instrumental in securing millions of dollars in aid money from the federal government for distribution in Iraq.

"Google her statements and decide."
Where do you think I got the quote from? Thin air?
Tell me. Why would she need to 'poll' people in Iraq on the number of 'innocent' victims?
What's the purpose?
If not to embarrass the U.S. government?

American Tax Dollars were given to her group so that she can help the people. President Bush has always said he is not against the people of Iraq only the regime.

What slippery slope is that?
This woman aided and abetted America's enemies - she wanted Saddam Hussein kept in power!
What is so difficult for her boosters here to understand?

Ruzicka, then 25, had already forged a reputation in leftist circles. She once had disrupted a speech on AIDS by Secretary of State Colin L. Powell. Another time, she was hauled off by police after she ripped off a sarong -- which inside had a protest statement -- during a speech by then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush.

She had been in Iraq conducting door-to-door surveys trying to determine the number of civilian casualties in the country. So what does THAT mean? Is this really "helping" the people? I suspect it's more like:
"Hello. I'm here to see if any innocent people in this house were murdered by our insane President who bombed Iraqi civilians just to get more oil for Halliburton."
"We have a child who was badly injured in a fight between Americans and some people in our neighborhood, and he needs medi-"
"Hey, this is GREAT! Issam, get in here, get some pictures of this kid. Now, where did this happen? When and where did the Americans attack the freedom fighters?"

Where was she when Saddam was in power???!!!!
These liberal goof-balls that only try to find fault with the U.S. and are silent when the real atrocities are happening.
Makes me think she and people like her are political versus truly trying to help the Iraqi people. She is using the Iraqi people to further her hate America agenda. If only groups like hers had protested Saddam before the war, there might have not been any war at all.

So, is the CIVC going to sue the bombers and its group to pay for the damage?

American are protesting illegals crossing the border. President Bush is of no help stopping the illegal entry. Protesting is not a bad thing.
BTW the "ugly" post you made has been removed by the mods with no help from me. Goes to show your post was not worthy of this thread.

She put OUR people (and I have a few nephews in Iraq) at risk---so in the end it comes out to "tough cookies" If she had been responsible for getting any of my nephews kille/wounded, you can be assured that I'd really be going off. She had NO RIGHT to be there no matter her where her hert may lie.
Play with fire and you can end up getting burned.

Even if you disagree, your comment is dispicable.

If someone REALLY wants to help, then join in on a group that helps our wounded soldiers recuperate and deal with their wounds (NOT "injuries") and help purchase prosthesis for limbs lost to IEDs and the like.

If a person sincerely believes they can fly and they climb up on to a 10 story building, flap their arms really hard and jump, they tend to fall to their death.
Sincere people can be sincerely wrong and end up paying dire consequences. 2 + 2 will always equal 4, no matter how much you want to believe it to be 5.
There is no honor in a death brought on by a warped belief.

How true....but she wants to go there and make matters worse.
No doubt, she could care less about our people.
I saw those types all the time in 20+ years in the Navy. They were never at Bethesda comforting those wounded in battle, or injured in a peacetime shipboard accident.
They were outside "protesting"
Here's why I'm so angry: One of my nephews that was in Iraq early in the war lost his leg---my OLd Man went to see him at Walter Reed. He actually had people tell him how glad they were to see AMERICANS losing their lives and limbs. Dad showed great restraint in not snapping their neck like twigs--something that he would NOT have been if some Code Pink-type had been involved. Now he hope the remainder of the boys there come home safely.
Those people are disgusting---absolutely DISGUSTING.
