"I considered Allen, but don't feel like I know enough about him. I like Jeb or the VP, but don't feel they have a chance in '08. Jeb because of his last name, and the VP because of his heart. "

So, you think Jeb won't get the 51% his brother got because of the same last name? I don't believe that. For the President, Americans vote for the most trustworthy, appealing candidate. To me, that's Jeb.

VP Cheney would have a good chance too. He cannot be flustered or rattled. He's always calm and remeasuring and he's a straight shooter. He won't run unless Pres. Bush specifically asked him to run. The heart condition will be used by the Dem's against him, but it won't have traction with the US populace.

Cheney's too sick to run.
Jeb lost out when he let Terri die.

That leaves Rudy or someone else who may not even be on the radar screen now. Thank God we have a little time.

It is more that I am not sure 51% would support another Bush. I would like to see it myself. There was even the rumor that W would start a war with Iran so his brother could be elected.

It is just waaaay too early for all of this conjecture. So much can happen in the next two years that can/will have an impact.
