CBS's Lesley Stahl and MSNBC's Chris Matthews, both liberal Democrats, whined repeatedly on Hardball about bloggers and other alternative media who have deflated the liberal media monopoly
Matthews, who hosts a show of unedited opinions, rued how news is "coming out of blog sites and stuff that is unedited in a lot of cases, which is my big problem with it."
There's no editors around." Stahl complained "it's contributing to the public's continuing dislike of us and mistrust of us."
Stahl, who works for an outlet which used forged memos in a political hit job, lamented that instead of checking facts, "everyone is shooting from the hip, everybody."
There's nobody we all listen to, nobody we all respect, no institution we all respect. And this is, it's, it's partly brought on by technology. It's partly that we only now are able to listen to and watch what we want to watch.
So, it isn't that we're not, it's that we're not, we're choosing not to even hear the other argument on the other side. We're choosing only to hear what we want to hear. (EMPHASIS ADDED)

I saw that Chrissy Matthews show when Leslie Stahl was whining and crying, and Chrissy joined in.
I was also reading FreeRepublic and posting to it, knowing that all is good....the media is starting to panic!!!
Get a clue. If you can last a couple years without making up stories and forging documents to support your liberal political agenda, people might start trusting you again. Until then, SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE! I don't care what you think, and judging by your ratings, neither does anybody else. What a bunch of crybabies.
It must be very hard for Mathews et al knowing people are listening to unedited news and commentary. I feel for them. Yeah right.
Quite honestly, I haven't watched MSNBC in years. I wouldn't want to double their viewership. I suspect Larry is concentrating his efforts on The West Wing, where he can construct a more pleasant alternate reality where a Democrat is President.
I wonder where Chris Matthews gets the idea that he part the elite media. Matthews and MSNBC are among the least watched news shows in American. CBS has been dead last in network news ratings for years.
