DCF: Terri Schiavo Not Abused, Exploited
State Agency: Terri Schiavo Was Not Abused or Exploited by Either Side of Her Family
By VICKIE CHACHERE
The Associated Press
Apr. 16, 2005 - State investigators found no evidence that Terri Schiavo had been abused or exploited by either side of her family, according to documents released by Florida's Department of Children and Families.
The agency investigated 89 complaints dating back to 2001, when Schiavo's feeding tube was removed for the first time and the legal battle surrounding her right-to-die case intensified.
The calls alleged that the brain-damaged woman was being mistreated by her husband and her parents for financial gain. One complaint alleged that Schiavo's parents were selling videos of her through a Web site; another said Schiavo's husband wasn't spending money intended for her rehabilitation.
But investigators said they found no evidence that either her husband or parents were exploiting her, and often noted in their records that they found Schiavo well cared for on their visits to her Pinellas Park hospice.
The agency released the records Friday under court order.
Schiavo, 41, died last month after her feeding tube was removed for the third time, ending a bitter court battle between her husband, Michael Schiavo, and parents, Robert and Mary Schindler, over whether she would have wanted to live in a vegetative state.
The repeated allegations of abuse were based partly on bone scans showing Terri Schiavo suffered fractures and statements she made to family and friends that she was unhappy in her marriage.
Schiavo's husband has denied harming his wife. His lawyer said the fractures resulted from osteoporosis caused by the woman's years of immobility and complications of her medication.
Robert Schindler declined to comment there on the release of the DCF documents. An attorney for Michael Schiavo did not immediately return calls.

Yes : I do feel mu quality of life is better than Terri's was , but it only matters legally when you are in a permanent Vegetative state as she was. Ah, so her quality of life determines her constitutional rights, according to you.
Where exactly in the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution or in Article One, Section Two of the Florida Constitution do you find this exception? I can't seem to find that. In fact, the FL Constitution, the fundamental law of the State, specifically forbids the State from depriving the disabled of their right to life.
Do you even believe in the Constitution?

Pray tell how Greer, Felos or Schiavo could have sanitized Dept of HRS file reports? Not one of them would have had access to the report. Reviewing a report (a copy, hellooo) is all that is allowed. NO WAY any one had access to changing the record.

Your problem is who has the right to make that decision her husband or her parent That's not 'my problem' at all.
My 'problem' in this area is whether someone who repeatedly tried to kill their spouse has any business making any decision of any kind for anybody.
In the America I know and love, attempted murder and/or murder land you in a penitentiary for the rest of your days.

Dont harangue me about rights, I believe every human has rights... No, you obviously don't.
...but when they cant communicate those rights that resp[onsibility is given to others...
'Responsibility' to kill them by starvation? You're not making any sense.

Well that's got to be some sort of record. Usually see them by post 2 or 3 ;)
Won't matter anyway and you know it. Every government agency, doctor, nurse, or most other medical professionals could provide the documentation or facts and all you'll get in response is more of the 'conspiracy' of Pinellas County. Every agency in the state of Florida must be in on it...

I know for a fact that DCF has been covering up the facts about Terri Schiavo's treatment for years.
This is just the latest, and they think final, installment.

Good gosh, are the pro-death types still gloating over the "victory" they achieved?
Seems there is no limit to the sickness.

It doesn't matter what comes to light, the conspiracy people will turn it around and make it fit their theory or theories. In fact pointing out to them that they are chasing moonbat conspiracies, only increases their paranoia and reinforces their persecution complex. Every rumor is true and every fact is twisted to conform to a surreal reality. It's as bad as the X-Files.
Want proof? Terri was killed by a guy on the grassy knoll who was related to the unidentified third bomber in Oklahoma City. He escaped in a black helicopter.

Do you think my questions as posted in #34 are 'moonbat conspiracy'-type questions?
Care to take a crack at answering them?

Why mention vegative state?
You say you would feel pretty bad? How about knowing every moment you are being deliberately dehydrated to death.
It was physical and mental abuse.
To: EternalVigilance
Care to take a crack at answering them? Indeed. I've followed the money trail. The cancer man bribed all the hospice workers and they lied to the DCF who are in the pocket of Tri-Lateral commission. This was clearly shown on the Xfiles. Did you miss it?

NO WAY any one had access to changing the record. Yes, yes. Sandy Berger says so too.

#49 is a fine example of how certain individuals are attempting to marginalize those who believe in the inalienable God-given right to life as delineated in the Bill of Rights.
They won't succeed.

Here come the conspiracy accusations that the whole state of Florida is "in on it"...Yep, the State the judges the lawyers, hospice the police, nurses, doctors.
This has been the weirdest issue I have ever seen on FR.

You should try it some time.
