Since you admit lack of knowledge, I won't bore you with who they got.
But the sports commentators said this is a good starting team. Some top flight players on it, but the big BUT is that they probably have a weak bench and a less than complete pitching staff if you look all the way up and down the line from starters, to occasional starters, to relief pitchers, etc.
They said the team needs to avoid injuries, and maybe pick up a two or three more players that would help from the bench and with pitching.
So far they have been winning, and that was away from home. Commentators said with the great fan support, thay should be even tougher in RFK Stadium.

I am terribly girly-girl when it comes to sports, but I have to support the Skins and the Wolverines (Michigan is my alma mater), even if I don't understand what they're doing, so I thought I'd see what the Nationals were up to. Don't think they are worthy of blind, Skins-quality loyalty, yet.
