Yes I think you are right it is Elizabeth and yes I bet she is a real little imp full of fun and mischief and I bet she keeps her grand parents on their toes.

I love the story of how she was concerned about the tooth fairy getting past the security at Naval Observatory to present her with some coins for her tooth. Shows a natural reaction in an abnormal situation it shows that despite being in the spot light most of her young life she still is able to be a normal little girl.

Regarding wrapping their little fingers round granddad I think Grace does a fair amount of this too. In an interview I think a couple of years ago Lynne said that one of her funniest incidents with Gracie was that one day she bought her back to the Naval Observatory and there was no sign of the VP upon their arrival. Apparently Grace stood in the middle of the hall way and shouted at the top of her voice "Wheres Dick, I want Dick".

There is the other story Lynne never said which one it was but one of them asked Dick if he knew anyone famous almost as though they did not really think of him as famous. It shows how in amongst of the circus that they live in somehow they have managed to give these children as normal a childhood as possible even down to camping in their grand parents room at night with sleeping bags on the floor with the dogs. Sleep over at the grand parents.

Lynne also admitted that Dick is the soft one when interviewed on inauguration day by IMUS and said that the grandchildren always know they can get round their grandpa if they want something to eat after supper. Apparently he can always be persuaded to peel and cut them up an apple or pop corn for them certainly a doting granddad with granddaughters that obviously know how to tug on his heart strings.
