Just thought this "attitude" would be interesting for some of you to try to understand the German mentality toward work. No wonder their social programs are broke, productivity has never been lower and negativity is at an all time high.

Somehow it must be the evil Americans fault? LOL

Given the German appetite for beer, wine, schnapps, and other potables, perhaps this is just a manifestation of the amusing inversion of an old saying:

"Work is the curse of the drinking class."

My wife and I retired because we were sick of working. Retirement is a lot of fun, much better than working.
