Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3 has just been released. A minor update, this version fixes a few security holes and some other bugs. If you're currently using Firefox 1.0.x, you want to install this release. Firefox 1.0.3 is a "branch build" serving as an interim update to Firefox 1.0. It addresses critical security and performance issues that resulted after the release of Firefox 1.0.
This build is NOT to be confused with recent Mozilla 1.0+ nightly "trunk" builds.

If you really want to fix your security and virus problems, get a Mac. I'm prepared for the hate mail, bring it on!

...get WebTV. I'm prepared for the hate mail, bring it on! Not necessary. WebTV is it's own punishment.

I installed 1.o3 and now every time I click on a web page (esp. FR), I get a unknown error window about a wrapped native prototype operation. It is truly disastrous to my browsing.
Any idea what has happened or how to uninstall the update?

Any idea what has happened or how to uninstall the update? No, I don't know at all. I haven't installed it yet, just downloaded it. (I'm in the middle of something and don't want to have to quit Firefox yet to upgrade it.) That sure doesn't sound good, though!

I uninstalled and reinstalled 1.0.3 and still got the error message every time I clicked on a page. Finally had to uninstall 1.0.3 and reinstall 1.0.2.
Something is certainly wrong here.

Nothing wrong with WebTV. You've got e-mail and it gets you here to FR. What else does one need?

ATTENTION!
Firefox 1.0.3 includes a bugfix that changes the way extensions interface with the browser. Some extensions might not work any longer if you install 1.0.3, and will not until those extensions are updated. Please be aware.
