Saddam Hussein should have been executed soon after we had him in custody.

It is absurd that this mass murderer may well perish from natural causes before he is tried, convicted, sentenced, and executed in this silly charade that he might somehow have some innocence in the deaths of so many Iraqis.

He should simply be taken out and hanged with no ceremony early one morning, preferably sooner rather than later.

I did stop for a moment, and I thank you for a very realistic check on the horrors of the Saddam regime.

I wish everyone in the whole world would read your post!!

We forget, as you remind us, that these were real people , living real lives, and slaughtered by this inhumane dictator!

Signed from another Freeper ---class of 1998!

Thanks, and keep posting the same!!!

""I think that Noam Chomsky will claim that they were goat corpses."""

"Everyone stop for a moment and just imagine these mass graves filled with human remains.

Now, imagine these skeletons as living human beings in the last moments of their lives about to be slaughtered by Saddam's death squads -- men, women, and little children completely helpless and in mortal terror of their executions to come and those they were already witnessing while the world turned their backs.

Imagine also the international profiteers of the 'Oil for Food' program that kept this murderous tyrant in power while lining their own pockets with blood gold.

As long as there is an America with faithful allies, let us always have a military capability that can blow the forces of tyrants like these to Hell and gone.

We're on the right side of history. To Hell with the rest."

That, my FRiend, was the most beautiful thing I've read in a long time. Thank you for expressing what I'd have liked to shout from the rooftops for at least the past three years.

Everyone stop for a moment and just imagine these mass graves filled with human remains.

Good point. It is just so easy to see an uncomprehensible number like 300,000 dead, shake our heads in amazement, and move on.

These were human beings with thoughts, emotions, feelings and people who loved them and now miss them.

Tell us again, our little liberal friends, how wrong we were to go into Iraq. Thing is, I don't think this, and all the other graves found, would make any difference to these people.

Oh, they'll cover it alright, but somehow they'll put an anti-american spin on it. Maybe they'll claim the US did it and are now trying to cover it up.

Socialist's values factored into a 'profit motive'. . .

. . .and lastly. . .don't forget CNN deciding to NOT report atrocities; lest it jeopardize their presence. . .

Wonder if they picked up some incentives along the way. . .or was it just their loyal 'anti-Americanism'; that helped keep their lips sealed.

At least 290 grave sites containing the remains of some 300,000 people have been found since the American invasion two years ago, Iraqi officials say.

Invasion my ass. We saved them from another 300,000 or so in dead iraqis. Call it a liberation or shut the hell up.

The spin over at DUmmyland is that it's Bush Sr's fault.

I've got that line repeatedly in "discussions" with anti-war lefties. They opposed the war, but say Bush Sr. should have extended the war in '91. They say that Bush Jr. shouldn't have finished off Saddam, but Bush Sr. should have. They say that Bush Jr. should have respected the will of the U.N., and that "his war" was illegal and immoral because he didn't, but say that Bush Sr. should have acted beyond his U.N. mandate (which only authorized the liberation of Kuwait) and broken the coalition by preceding on to Bagdahd.

Their hypocrisy (and incoherence, and hatred of America) knows no bounds.

Absolutely right. The MSM views everything through the prism of electing a democrat, so no matter how many bodies are unearthed, the Iraqi war will be portrayed at the very least as unnecessary, illegal, and wicked. The day after the Iraqi elections, when the democrats coordinated their attacks on the administration, the party line was: the Iraqis were heading toward democracy anyway, and George Bush's war slowed the process. They lined up on tv and parroted this line with perfectly straight faces.

When you read down the seemingly endless list of Saddam's horrors, the Liberal blind mindset becomes far worse than incomprehensible. It's deliberate and obscene.

It would have been satisfying if Saddam had been shot on sight by US forces, but it's important for Iraqis to execute their own monster.

Meanwhile, they're still searching for all those mass graves in Serbia.

Yep. The Euros won't help assess the # of bodies in the mass graves because, in "principle", they won't support a new regime that wants to hold Saddam accountable through the death penalty. But they were fully on board with the Hussein regime when he was murdering political opponents, gassing tens of thousands of Kurds, and committing torture/murders for the fun of it.

Honestly, I think Europe is just putting on the blinders to shield their conscience from the mass graves that they turned a blind eye to when they were doing business with Saddam up until the Iraq war of 2003. Later, they can say, "We never saw the bodies in the mass graves. America is such a terrible country, they probably just made it up. The pictures that they did provide were taken from the areas THEY bombed, not from anything Saddam did." I hold European ideals in high regard (not). That's what a lot of them are doing with Germany's holocaust now. It's a real popular idea that the whole thing was just made up.
