A grandmother knocked out a burglar by hitting him with a garden gnome.
Jean Collop, 69, woke at 5am to find an intruder clambering on her roof.
She yelled at the man, then picked up a gnome and hurled it at him, reports The Sun.
It bounced off his head, leaving him lying dazed on the roof in Wadebridge, Cornwall.
Jean dashed to fetch her rolling pin and a camera, and then took photos of the burglar as neighbours called the police.
Officers arrived to find the man still on the roof and half a dozen locals standing guard.
Jean said: "I heard a crash and rushed out in my nightdress. I politely told him not to move and grabbed the first thing that came to hand, which was a garden gnome.
"When it hit him he lay down for a while. I got my rolling pin in case. I didn't want to break another gnome."
Encore!
Yowza!
I've had NO meetings today. The one I was expecting will take place on Monday.
Another day shot to heck
The Blues are in the story. I just get them out.
But hey...it's almost done, then it's WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!
It was brilliant.
What is a weekend?
Here is the whole collection so far. I'm planning an album.

When we aren't working for "the man".
Bump for later, time to make that casserole with the beans again. Y'all may work for the man, but I work for the boys!
Basil Fawlty surely found a use for one. Much to Mr. O'Reilly's dismay.
I'm trying to figure out what to have for dinner. CG won't go for any casserole with beans though. He likes things to have meat, cheese & something tomato based.
Ravioli casserole? Cook the ravioli until just barely softened, then layer with tomato sauce and mozzarella. If you use meat ravioli, you can use plain sauce ... if you have cheese ravioli, get sauce with meat! Also works with tortellini. A light red wine with it.
Yum! That sounds good...that may be just the ticket!
Glad I could help. Baby just woke up ... he can come in the kitchen and help me chop onions.
I forgot to say, then cook the whole thing at 325 for about 1/2 hour!
Oh good...I was about to ask. Headed to the store, then home. Enjoy your weekend!!!
You two, too. We've got two kids going camping with their Scout troops, so it will be pretty quiet here.
