BERN, Switzerland: Switzerland on Friday extradited a suspected Islamic terrorist mastermind to Spain, officials said.
The action followed the Swiss supreme court's rejection of an appeal from Mohamed Achraf _ whose group of Spanish-based Islamic extremists is suspected of plotting to bomb the National Court in Madrid _ said Justice Ministry spokesman Folco Galli.....
Spanish authorities suspect Achraf of masterminding a plot to ram a truck loaded with 500 kilograms (1,100 pounds) of explosives into the court, which is a hub of anti-terror investigations. - AP

Dubai's Crown Prince Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum's investment fund has paid $US1 billion ($1.3 billion) for real estate in the US as the emirate's ruling family uses its oil and trade wealth to invest abroad.
Dubai Investments Group, an affiliate of Sheik Mohammed's Dubai Holding, bought 21,000 apartments in cities including Dallas, Phoenix and Atlanta, from Olympus Real Estate Partners, the company said.
The deal is the latest foreign investment by the emirate's ruling Maktoum family. Dubai International Capital, also an affiliate of Dubai Holding, said yesterday it would pay $US1.5 billion for the Tussauds Group, owner of London's Madame Tussauds waxworks museum.
