BEIRUT, Lebanon - Lebanese authorities on Wednesday found the world's last missing sample of the killer influenza virus and are keeping it in a "safe place," a Health Ministry official said.
The sample was found at Beirut's International Airport and officials are waiting for orders from the U.N. World Health Organization on whether to destroy in Beirut or send it back to them....

Mysterious Disease Kills More Than 6000 Animals In Afghanistan
A mystery disease has killed more than 6,000 animals in Afghanistan's northeastern province of Badakhshan. Badakhshan lies near the border with China and Tajikistan and a majority of its residents rely on agriculture.
So far in the past two weeks more than 6,000 animals, largely goats, sheep and cows, have perished as a result of the outbreak. Although the authorities are waiting for test results, carried out by foreign aid workers, to find the cause of the epidemic....
