Cindy, maybe I can give a bit of the background on the Wakeup America Foundation.

I have listened to Mark Edwards the founder (or one of them),
for years, I don't know how long, 10 or 20 years.

Mark is a talk show host on KDWN Radio, in Las Vegas, he is
about 70, an ex Marine, Catholic, same wife for close to 50 years, grown children and an all around good person.

In the past, I often wished Mark had a wee bit more fire in his show, oh, he was pleasant to listen to, but never on fire......LOL

Then all of a sudden, instead of retiring, he gave up the morning show and went on nights......he is fired up now, he
wants the border closed by our President.

The meeting this weekend is another step in making it known to the citizens of the United States and too President Bush that it is time to close the border.

Mark is not a hothead, he is not a racist or hater, he is a
man with a goal.

Mark has his program on from 10 pm to midnight and using the links from your post, there is a button there to listen on the computer.

Mark has a guest almost every night, could be anyone from
Senator Trancredo to the mother of a murdered Border Patrol man.

The meeting this weekend is at a cost of $20.00 for 2 days of guests, they are coming from all over the country, mayors, sheriffs, you name it, they will be a lot to hear.

Makes me wish that I could still go out and about, this is
one that I would make an effort to hear.

This is not a nazi group and they are not militia.

Mark has contacted the police, they were already aware and had the plans down pat, as has the Homeland Security branch in Las Vegas.

There will also be a private security guard and members who are cops or were, and that should be a riot,as one of our regular callers for years is a New York
ex-Policeman, we all love Cabbie, as he retired from Police work to drive a cab in Las Vegas.

If anyone wants to go, it should be as safe as you can be.
