Envelope containing powder closes Washington Co. building (Oregon)
HILLSBORO -- The Juvenile Services Building in Washington Co. is closed after an employee discovered an envelope containing a suspicious powder.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue's hazmat team is on the scene and is containing the powder.
The discovery, made around 2pm this afternoon, prompted officials to close the facility and send staff members home.
The facility, located at 222 N. First Ave, remains closed while tests are being conducted.
