LAHORE: A man died while another was injured when an explosive device they were trying to plant near the Mirani dam office in Turbat went off, Geo TV reported on Wednesday. Balochistan Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chaudhry Yaqoob said the explosion occurred at 8:30pm.
He said three terrorists were trying to plant the bomb, one of whom was killed instantly, another was injured and the third fled. He said the police had arrested the injured terrorist, Faiz Muhammad, and were questioning him.
Commenting on the rocket attack in Noshki on Wednesday evening Mr Yaqoob said no loss of life occurred in the incident. He said Balochistan police had infiltrated the terrorist network operating in Noshki and Dalbadin. “We have arrested 25 criminals over the last three months,” he said, adding that information gleaned from them found that the nationalist parties were behind such attacks.
