"Cyber-terrorism exercise called ‘eye-opener'K"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Perhaps the most important aspect of Thursday’s cyber-terrorism exercise was that it showed local officials how much they don’t know.
Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Lavell Barrera, who also serves as the county’s emergency management coordinator, called the exercise “an eye-opener.”
The exercise was conducted by The University of Texas at San Antonio’s Center for Infrastructure Assurance & Security (CIAS) and was designed to help local law enforcement and medical personnel, elected officials and those responsible for critical infrastructure to pinpoint vulnerabilities in their operations."
