PORTLAND -- ARTICLE SNIPPET: "The residents of a nearby houseboat community were asked to stay indoors with the windows closed, but were not evacuated.
About 200 workers at a nearby Nordstrom warehouse were evacuated after the explosion.
Power to the area was knocked out, and a water main and natural gas lines were damaged, officials said.
The Coast Guard and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality assisted fire crews to evaluate potential contamination.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation."
